At risk of being shunned by the community here, I was just wondering if you all could list some of the other digital photo sites (especially challenges/contests) that you know of?
Nothing personal, dpchallenge, for I am totally hooked! But one submission/week is about to kill me. 8)
www.photosig.com this one allows 1 submit a day(and more as your rating goes higher). People critique your photo and give it ratings. I suggest checking out and seeing how it works.
www.deviantart.com pretty much free to do whatever you want. It's a place to celebrate your work, share it, express yourself etc. pictures aren't the only things allowed.. poetry/prose.. skins for programs/games, icons, etc.
www.worth1000.com Image editting! Someone mentioned it on this site, and I've been intrigued since.
Another contest i found recently, and they are fairly new, so I don't know how "good" it is is on here. When the home page finishes loading go to the "beauty that surrounds us" link; i think it is near the bottom of the page. the allow *gasp* only nature shots (flowers, butterflies, animals, scenery, etc.) NO people.
I haven't participated in any of these yet so I can't say anything about them. I probably shouldn't have posted them. I don't want to have to compete with all you people on other sites! ;)
i like the following ones that haven't been mentioned yet betterphoto - one submission per day, best photos at the end of the month photoblink - one submission every other day (and more when you get lots and lots and lots of points). best picture of the day/week/month based on popularity rating. they also have contests from time to time.
