Hello from Japan. I just joined the site and I'd like to get an idea if I am heading in the right direction. I recently took a series of shots in Nagano and I thought that they might be worth a look.

Welcome Matthew! All of the Japanese members are converging on this thread to say hi. :-) Those are some good shots. We're only getting rain and slush here in Tokyo, so it's nice to see snow like that. If you ever make it this way, let me know if you'd like to go shooting.

Yes! Call Philip -- he's a wonderful host and tour guide. We saw more of Tokyo in one day than we would have ever seen on our own. Plus his kids are darn cute.

Thank you all for your warm welcome. Taking your advice, I started a portfolio titled Nagano Winter. I included a few more photos for anyone who is interested. There are even a couple of shots of the mountains with plenty of snow there if that is what you like.
