Entirely unrelated to photography but I know at least a few people here earn their living on ebay and since I like you all better than anyone I'd find on the ebay boards, I thought I'd ask here...
Does anyone sell things for other people on ebay? I've come across some sisters who are quite elderly (they are actually old friends of my grandmother) and looking for someone to sell their things on ebay. They haven't yet said exactly how much stuff but I'm getting the impression that it's quite a bit. I've asked them to write up a list with descriptions and minimum selling amounts. I think what will happen after that is that I will go pick up all the items (they live about an hour south of me) and bring them home, photograph them, put them on ebay and then be responsible for shipping.
My question is about how to charge. I think that most people who sell for others do it on a percentage of the final sale, is that true? Should I just do that or do that and charge for the photos and the trips to the Post Office? Or some other way?
And should I just sell the stuff under my ebay account where I already have accumulated a decent amount of perfect feedback or should I set them up with their own account?
