As you can imagine, I was shocked and dismayed upon returning from Buffalo that OneSweetSin or other Steeler fans hadn't posted the weekly "Woo Steelers!" thread, so here I go:

We beat Buffalo, despite the fact that we were barely using any starters. In fact, I think we signed a few people who were tossing the ball around in the parking lot -- that's just how far down the depth chart we were reaching today! On to the playoffs!
that's his name. What did Bettis miss 1000 yards by ... wasn't it 39 yards? That's ok though...killer season for everyone on our team.
I think (I may be wrong, going from memory here)...we ranked 1st in time of possession and we ranked 1st in overall defense...I'm sure there are other things we ranked up there on, those are just the ones I remember from today.
PS -- I think Bettis needed 59... bummer he couldn't get that! I didn't even see him at the game. I'm sure he was there somewhere... I just never saw him.

Thanks to all for the kind words :) I did get confirmation that I'll have credentials for the first playoff game... so that's cool.
I don't know how good my chances will be if the Steelers move into the AFC Playoff game and/or the Super Bowl. For those games, the NFL handles the issuing of credentials (as opposed to the Steelers), so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

Yeah, he was there. He had on a grey sweatshirt with a black jacket ontop (he wasn't dressed to play)...but he didn't seem to be limping so his ankle can't be all that bad -- my guess is he'll be back for game #1.

I figured he had to be there somewhere... I just never laid eyes on him. Plax was in similar sweatpant gear. I was surprised that Roethlisberger dressed for the game -- I was encouraged to see him tossing balls clear down the field in pre-game warm-ups, so I suspect he'll be 100% for the playoffs, too.
That's good to hear about Big Ben. As long as we remember to run the ball and our defense always puts that pressure on the quarterback, we'll be fine...Long time of posession to tire out their defense helps too.

Thank you second string Steelers, you helped my now hapless Jets back into the playoffs. And I don't mean "back into" as in make the playoffs again. I mean back into as in getting into the playoffs after losing their last two games, and getting help from other teams to get in. In other words, moving backwards into the playoffs.
Heh... I even tried sending you a picture from my phone before the game started, and the message bounced back for some odd reason. Hmph!

That's odd. Although ya know you got to send me photos in two weeks of Troy during the pregame....lol...and you know I was kinda expecting photos today from you and yet I didn't get any. Any chance your cell roaming in Buffalo?
