Yes it's really my first time ranting about a score in a current challenge but in mechanical my photo do a lot worse than expected (low 5)and I don't understand why (I'm not even sure I want to)
I do think I submitted a high quality picture into this challenge but I want to know if that one would have done better than low 5
Good news and bad news: it's a nice shot of a postal scale. Your subject is something that might not get a second glance if you walked past it. For that reason, you need to find a compelling angle or interesting twist to grab the voters' attention. Maybe the scale has something heavy on it, yet floats in midair, or it's painted with polka dots. Maybe there's spider webs and dust on it, and a title about email. Anything that avoids, "Oh, it's just a nice shot of X" will improve your score and comment rate. Good luck.
Actually, I'd agree with that statement. Sure, it no longer works, but a break like that can only be intentional. It's too clean. Something intentionally split in half isn't so much broken as cut or fashioned. I've seen fully functional RF wireless mice that actually look like that.
Hey Nice, it is a nice pic of a postal scale, and I agree with Scalvert when they say the pic needs something more to grab the viewer. Here's the questionyou should walk away with: in seeing the comments and the responses so far, how would you shoot it a second time, what would you change?

People frequently test other shots in the forums to try and get a sense of whether they entered the right one. I don't believe this is his entry, but his alternate.

Ok come over and try it...I guarantee you with 100% certainty that it is infact broken. Whether it was an intentional breaking or unintentional or a smashing type breaking, the mouse is still broken -- there is no denying facts.

2) To divide into pieces, as by bending or cutting: break crackers for a baby.
3) To separate into components or parts: broke the work into discrete tasks.
4) To snap off or detach: broke a twig from the tree.
Not sure of your native language, but it would help to check the dictionary prior to saying something that is broken isn't.
