Well..better late than never :-)

Outtakes

Some different compositions and stuff.

Just to see what I was shooting that day and some photoshop variations.

The leaves are great but I like the one you submitted best. One of my favourites of that challenge, and in my favourites list.

I find it incredibly evocative and very beautiful.

Not to disagree with anyone... but, I prefer "Withered Red" with a little bit wider crop. I really like the effect of color on B&W.

hokie: I also think the one you submitted is the best. I like the desaturated versions more. The "part 2" has a more interesting composition because of the diagonal stipe. But it has a distracting merger of the fuzzy distel "hair" with the shiny object in the background.


Because nobody answered my other request...
In the museum where I took the photo I submitted I took lots of other photos. One I also liked very much was this. Do you think it's better than the one I submitted?

Stephen I like what you entered better, it's more dynamic. BTW you might want to review the rules about taking pictures of works of art. YOur entry got in because it was an interperative crop I think. aelith

Oh. I saw the statue as an old object and not that much as a work of art. But you're right, it is. I'll keep that in mind for future challenges. Thanks.
