Anyone have any favorite books that i could buy my brother for X-Mas?
He is just starting out in digital photography and would like a book for a beginer.
Also any other fav books?
I think i will be getting Down and Dirty Photoshot CS tricks for myself and will have a gift cert for a bookstore and would like to buy a few more.
Thank you in advance for any recomendations.

Digital Photography for Dummies

Not trying to say anything about your brother, but it's a decent basic book for someone who knows nothing about digital photography.

Another decent book I have been reading is

"Non-Classical Problems in the Theory of Elastic Stability" by Eliashakoff, Li & Starnes

Not a real page turner, but interesting nonetheless

I have "Adobe Photoshop CS one-on-one" by Deke McClelland and
"The photoshop cs book for digital photographers" by Scott Kelby. The first one is really good, easy and more basic.
