My husband is a construction worker, he took me out to the job site on a very windy day. He ask me to get a photo of the biginning of the new bridge his company will be building.
I got lots of photos of the area but this one was very interesting.
At the exact moment I snapped the shot a gust of wind hit me really hard. Their were no colors visible to the naked eye. But once I got the photo on the PC, I could see bands of color where the moisture was picked up off the river by the wind and mixed with the sun, The first photo is the original just size for the web in PhotoShop Element 2 , the second one is after I croped and used Auto Levels.

Hi Diana,

Very interesting images. I was wondering if it is really as you think or is it some sort of aberration from the CCD of your camera? Could the motion have caused the CCD to have a shift inline transfer problem? If you are correct, it is still an amazing and interesting effect. Thanks for sharing.
