dropped some photos up to the Native Bird Recovery Centre today and there on the verandah was a giant albatross. He'd been damaged in the high winds......will be ok after about a week recuperation.
They're huge!!!! bigger than my dog! Couldn't get too close as they don't hesitate to use that beak! This one's still a juvenile!!
 
these were taken with the Sony717. I'm a little disappointed in my performance with the drebel at the moment. Images I'm getting are a little too soft........maybe not using it enough?!
