We are planning a trip to Stowe, or Sugarbush VT. Unfortunately, I won't be able to ski, and I want to find some nice photographic expeditions for myself. I've been to Stowe, and know about the nice recreational trail they have where I took this last year:
But nothing else there, and I've never really looked around the sugarbush area for shots.
What photo opportunities can you folks suggest in either Stowe or Sugarbush? I won't be able to ski, but I can do some hiking. (Just having a bit of a problem with my left arm which is preventing me from Skiing.)
I've had experience in boht places and I think that Sugarbush would be a more unique place to photograph. As Tim said, Mad River Glen is nearby and is a very interesting places. There is also a lot of secluded woodlands that have a very interesting photographic appeal to them. You won't find as much scaping open scenes but little details. Although the winter is not the absolute best time to go with all of the snow, it still provides an interesting experience.
Thanks guys--just to make sure I was clear, I am not going to be on ski's or on any other "risk of falling down" transport because of a prior arm injury that I am working to heal.
So intersting scenery, hikes (perhaps I can use snow shoes), recreational trails, scenic drives, interesting towns or historic landmarks, etc. is the general idea, or other even own better ideas based on my restrictions ;)

Snowshoes would really be a necessity for hikes not that you mentioned it. Burlington, VT is about an hour's drive north of Sugarbush and has a lot interesting little places to go --- it's a nice city. The drive up there is also nice. I would suggest just exploring as much as you can --- but always try to have ap air of snowshoes with you!
