A lesson learned:

While on holiday I entered some challenges but only had LightRoom for my iPhone to edit. The result from the Clouds IV challenge looked pretty good on my phone but not so much when I got home last night.

Here is the original iPhone edit earning my entry a well deserved below 50% finish.


Here is the edit starting with my original RAW image and 5 minutes with LR and PS on my desktop


Gone are the crazy editing artifacts I didn't see on my phone.

I run into similar when traveling and editing on my laptop with a lesser screen and software than I have at home. I've had to learn to not push the post processing too far if I'm not viewing it on the good monitor.

That's pretty interesting that the colours and noise of the cloud look completely different. How do both versions now look on your phone?

I ended up editing it differently on my computer so that it had a better look. I really didn't see the dramatic pixelation on my phone at all unless I really blow it up. On the computer it is very obvious.
