i just bought the black body rebel... but i have a problem... what do i do about my pics already enrolled for competition...?i did not buy new memory and will use the one in my powershot for the canon. the powershot is sold and will fly on saturday 11/20. if required to prove the pics, what do i do? will i loose it if i insert the memory into the rebel? anyone knows or can advise?
Be sure to COPY the files (using Windows Explorer, for example). Loading the photo from your card in your editing software and then saving it is NOT the same as copying, will alter the EXIF, and ultimately would result in disqualification.

thanks terry, not that think i stand a chance, but i must cover all bases. just one thing, i offload using canon's zoombrowzer. what if i leave everything just in their and copy the ones i want to play with to other files. that means the original offload will be original in every sense of the word, or what else... how do you mean copy files using windows explorer? sorry to be so ignorent.
Using zoombrowser and making copies to work with in your editing software, just as you said, is a good way to do it. If you don't want to use zoombrowser you can go to My Computer when the camera is hooked up and find the folder on the camera that has the picture files, then just copy and paste the entire folder into My Pictures. You may want to change that folder's name, via right clicking on it, after it's copied into My Pictures.
