Use one original in as many layers as you like, and by layering/flipping/rotating/warping/blending create a fascinating abstract.

I like it too, but not the extended editing version where anything goes.

The only thing Extended would add is allowing multiple images, which isn't part of the Flip/Blend technique anyway.

Exactly, but in recent flip blend challenges a lot of strange techniques have been used.

I know. I've done lots of flip & blend images, including EFS challenges when I've got no "real" photos I want to enter. But the original idea of flip & blend didn't include things like liquify, distort etc. Those are fine for EFS, but to my mind they don't belong in a flip & blend challenge.

FWIW, Liquify and other such distortions that warp the original are actually legal in Standard Editing currently.
