Ok -- the forums are Waaaaayyyy too quiet.

So after birds diving into the water to catch fish (terns, osprey, etc.) they will often shake midflight to get rid of excess water.

Here's the beginning of the shake

On a recent flight I spotted this through the aircraft window attached to the jetway. The yellow apparatus appears to be a guide cage for something to go in there. My educated guess is that it is for air conditioning for certain airliners that can work with this standard, but the plane I was on wasn't one of them. Anyone know for sure what this is for?

Just looked up the company name on the side of the device and the first photo I ran across showed me that my guess was exactly right.

Nevermind...
