I wanted to thank everyone for their comments and high marks for my picture "Bush...Heads:Kerry...Tails". Many of the comments stated that the shadows gave away the technique. I was aware of this possibility when I submitted the picture but unfortunately did not have enough time to correct the problem. I have eliminated the shadows in this picture and wondered if you all thought it is an improvement. Thank you again.

I really liked this, but I think it was the lack of motion on the thumb that tipped me off to the technique--I could imagine a strobe capturing the quarters, but then just couldn't get any farther. That's when I looked more closely....

Personally, I think this is a great photo. My only critique about the quarters is this: they should be going away from the hand, not toward the elbow.

Also, while we're on it (an please take this in the spirit of "fun" nitpiks), the quarter should be rotating the other direction if flipped from the thumb. IMO it would be virtually impossible to rotate the coin counterclockwise from this position.

Which is why if you could crop the hand out, then place it under the quarter on the left side of the arc, it would obey the laws of physics.
Again, this by no means takes away from a great shot (and one of my 10's).
