Inspired by the success of my recent entry,
I decided to put together a little video of a series of photos that were used to make it:
Don't know about the imagery, but the musical score is really beautiful :). Check it out if you have spare 3 minutes. If you have a little more time, you can also take a look at some other little clips I've been uploading on my YouTube channel, mostly produced from my drone footage.

Good point, and perhaps you're right... but with my sequence of photos I wanted to find something non-religious and a bit dark and slow.... not what I (with my limited musical knowledge) normally associate with early Italian music. I thought that Bach's Andante filled the bill pretty well :). I may be wrong, of course. In the hindsight, I should've also looked for some organ music, it could work well, too.

Thanks Margaret! I thought about it but it looked warmer and more "Italian" in color, so I kept it. As for the software. I'm using DaVinci Resolve for all my videos. It is a very powerful video editing tool, rivaling Adobe Premiere, and the best part: it's free!

AHA! I use it too, it is fantastic and much easier to learn than Premiere. I discovered it while learning Unreal Engine. Do you use PureRef as well?
Cool idea to put those views together Lev. I've been to Siena but didn't stay at night, next time I should spend more time. I like that area of Italy. I've worked in Viareggio a few weeks ago and Siena and Firenze were not too far, but I didn't have time.

Same here, I was in Siena a couple of times before, but only for a few hours during the daytime. It is very different at night. Noise and bustle die down, most tourists are gone, the subdued lighting of cobble-stoned streets and churches is exquisite.
I just uploaded another medley of nocturnal medieval streets. Only now it is Umbria instead of Tuscany, Perugia instead of Siena, and cobblestones instead of rooftops. But Bach, cello, and Yo-Yo Ma are invariant :)

Magnificent images of Perugia after dark. Such shadows and drama. Yo-Yo Ma sounded great, but I was only hearing him in my left ear. I revisited the Siena video, and the right ear bud was working fine on that one.

Hehe… dark and slow - you need Mahler’s songs on the death of children. Nice and uplifting!

Hmm, yes indeed you're right! I hadn't listened to it in the headphones, and so I missed it, since it is more difficult to hear the difference in front of a computer. The weird thing is that the audio file is full stereo, and when I move it from Audio track 1 to Audio track 2 in daVinci Resolve, the combined video becomes stereo, too. No idea what's wrong with Track 1, it was working fine before. This daVinci Resolve is a wonderful piece of software, but a bit too complicated for a casual user like myself :). The sad thing is that I have regenerated the full stereo video file, but it's impossible replace it in YouTube, only delete it completely and upload the new one (so the old link that I sent out would become useless).
