I forgot about it until I was driving to work, looked at the moon, and said "holy cow!" to myself. Found a place to pull over and tried to capture it but didn't have the right gear combo to do it right I'm afraid (P&S camera and my phone camera). Will find out tonight when I get home if I can salvage anything from the raw files.

I woke up at 4:20, looked at it, said " oh cool" and went back to sleep. :)
After a brilliant, clear day and consequent anticipation, I woke to check it out and it was raining :-( Now, this morning, the sky's lovely and cloud-free again. And so it goes...

I sent my wife a text while I was trying to grab a photo ... she sent me a note later saying "thanks" because she delayed breakfast long enough to go check it out too.
I'm sure there's some telescope geeks out there that grabbed some nice time-lapse images. :-)
