Part of your kitchen challenge.
This is the kitchen of the Breede River Lodge Hotel in Witsand where I live. Also known as the "Bleeding Liver Lodge" ;) I used to be the restaurant manager of this hotel years ago and still go and give them a helping hand every now and then when they have a special function and are very busy. I did not expect this photo to even feature in the top 5 never mind the Blue. I thought many of the other entries were much better then mine and scored them in accordance with that. In fact I almost cancelled my entry just before the deadline as I didn't like the composition. Funny thing that....most of my challenge entries that I don't give a chance always seem to do well but the one's that I do think should do well seldom do.

It's difficult for most of us to gauge how others will perceive an entry. I've been surprised by a few of mine that I thought were mediocre at best, but they came in strong. And then some I thought were really good have struggled. I think it is just hard to see out own work objectively.

So, you were thinking your entry would get "panned?" ;-)
