In here if you notice there were some black bars in between the images when there was nothing and also I didn't have any flash on the camera so I ruled out the situation that this could have caused by the flash with 1/250 setting but something else was happening.
Any idea/clue what could be wrong? EXIF is in the image
I don't think the classic 120 Hz strobing of fluorescent lighting is to blame... the shutter speed was 1/250, which is faster than one cycle of the lights. Unless the lighting is being driven by a higher-frequency source, which I suppose is possible. Perhaps if a dimmer is involved?
I see the point Yo_Spiff and markwiley it is possible just cannot prove it may be I need to go back to church and try it again. kirbic as far as I remember those lights were fixed and no one was changing any values.
During that time, those bars were not the only issues but there were cases where either the left of the images were dark or right or one corner meaning there was something happening and puzzled me :( I got the new Sigma 135mm 1.8 and was wondering if the lens was causing this issue.
now I am going to twist in here so wondering is changing the ISO and aperture solved this problem?
In this image if you observed, those bars were there as earlier EXIF said but when I adjusted the ISO and aperture those bars were gone. :(
Now I am trying to recall if the two images had the curtain on or off AND silent shooting was on or off. I will take a look and see if that was causing this issue.
They have same EXIF but look at the light behavior.
I think narrowed down the problem and what Mark said :( it is happening when I am in silent shutter mode on mirrorless. I tried recreating this with the silent mode on and off and when I am having it on, I can see black bars when I am in a low light with some sort of artificial lights on that could be the bulbs where as I doesn't happen when I am in bright sunny or bright room with no artificial light. :(
I recall one time a coworker called me out to put another set of eyes on a weird problem with a copier. It was producing banding on copied images. Turned out he was testing the density of the blacks by doing sky shots with the lid up. All that was happening is he was making copies of the strobing overhead lighting. There wasn't anything wrong with the copier.
