Quiet around here. Just thought I'd say good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone (guess it's a USA thing - to those overseas have a happy day nonetheless!).
It's quiet around our house today. I'm working on re-finishing our front door.
The family is coming on Saturday for our Thanksgiving together. We'll eat on the front porch, socially distancing. I'm putting tables and chairs out today.
I'm very thankful for all of my DPC friends! You make my life so much better. Thank you!
Happy Thanksgiving!! I was cooking all morning, 2.5 hour zoom with extended family in MN. Jesse's been here for a week. Meggie came down for a couple of days and remained masked.
Happy Thanksgiving to my DPC family. I am so thankful for the wonderful friendships I have here. Visiting our son and family and met our new granddaughter (born in June).
This year was marked by the welcome addition on thanksgiving day eve of a "little brother" to my two and a half year old granddaughter, a few days before he was due. Mother and baby are back home already! Joint appearance of the two grandchildren on zoom already enjoyed!
Happy Thanksgiving from Southcentral Pennsylvania.
Quiet here......decided to stay put and FaceTime the gathering for a while.
Had a small turkey & fixins'.
We have much to be thankful for, but we also feel for the raised consciousness of this country's founding history.
At 65 for us older folks, the tradition of Thanksgiving is all about the decency of the concept.
It sucks sometimes to have to rewrite history in the light of how we got where we are.
I don't condone for one second what my ancestors did to the indigenous peoples in the name of progress and settlement, but sometimes I feel sad for losing what had been a celebration as a young person.
Anyway, I hope all is well for you and your families out there.
