I made a spreadsheet of the past challenges with the column headings:
Human Experience, Flora/Fauna, Abstract, Artifact, Scenic

I then examined the challenges to see the top 3 winners. I did not include "People" nor "Architecture" because those skew the results.

Results:
Flora/Fauna had by far the most #1 wins.
Artifacts (anything man-made) had by far the most #2 wins.

Human Experience on an average, came in 2nd place.
Abstracts & Scenic, on an average, came in 3rd place.

I guess I'm taking a picture of a rose bud for my "Something New" picture then. ;)
