OK, it's official,you can whine now.
Nice to see such graciousness in the face of victory or defeat.
What's done is done.
Some of us will be happy as larry and others will be bitterly disappointed.
Neither gloating nor whining reflect well on anyone and hardly show the voice of maturity and friendship.
A sad day for the world. God help us all. I guess all the fear mongering worked. The American people have given the Bush administration a license to continue bullying the rest of the world and ignoring the UN, the World Court and the Kyoto Accord.....except of course when it's to their advantage. It is a very sad and pathetic day for the whole world.
Couple things of note:
For the first time in awhile the President of the US won with more then 50% of the vote.
Bush received more votes then any presidiential candaidate in the US, ever.
I'm just happy there are no lawsuits, serious complaints of foul play, or any need to hand count ballots. People voted in record numbers and clearly choose the next President.
Gotta have a bit of a whine, say a very surprising depressing outcome, 90% of the world are gonna be feeling a little miffed right now, and frankly i can't wait till 2008/9 for Hillary to get in there. At least when thousands of people are being murdered, she'll do more than read My Pet Goat...
I, hereby announce my candidacy for the President of the United States of America in 2008 (if the republic is still here)... At first I was planning to run as an independent, but I realize I need to take the House and the Senate as well, so I will be forming a new Party. Any suggestions on a good name? I was thinking the "People's Party" but it sounds a little too commie and/or 1984ish... I have closely watched this past election and I know what it takes to be President... I am compiling a long list of 5 second sound bites as we speak :)

if what you say is true, maybe they should start hating americans too because more than half are on bush's side.

I can't help but agree that much of the world which seemed to have a semi-sympathy for Americans but dislike for their leader will now be extremely pissed that the American people supported George with a popular vote and another term as president...
Disclaimer: I'm Canadian and I'm not "left-wing" or "right-wing" (stupid, divisive, black&white politics) so I'm not saying this opinion is right or wrong, I'm just saying that I think that a lot of non-Americans were expecting different results...just goes to show they put too much stock in hollywood/media/Michael Moore...

that's not good reasoning. you should know that. you can't automatically give all the non-voting people to kerry. however, if they were all for kerry why didn't they come out and vote. not only that, but that's not the voting age population.

I agree 110%, it is VERY disturbing. This topic could almost be an additoinal thread in itself. (Edit: Why don't people vote?)
i don't want to divert the thread, but does anyone know the % increase in votes this time. since supposedly more people came out this time than ever before.
