I love being a part of dpc for quite a while now, sometimes more active and sometimes not. I'm reading in the forums even if I don't understand some slang jokes or sideblows (no native English speaker) and sometimes I bite the bullet and give comments. I've sometimes received critic in the past about being rude and too harsh with my comments, maybe that is a result of cultural differences or just a lack of linguitic sensitivity… but most of my comments are marked useful, so I keep on going even on a small scale.
I've given 1.999 comments so far which is ridicolous to some of you here. But since I have to look up words in a workbook or use online translator it is a small success for me.
And here is the reason for this thread:
The person who gives the first reply on this thread will get my comment #2000.

Actually everyone who replys here will receive a comment in the next few days, but only the first one can be No. 2000!
What a funny way to stir up some activity LOL. As a fellow non-native English speaker I recognize your point. I sometimes have to lookup some slang too especially the puns and jokes.
I guess I do apply now for your #2001 comment ;-)
Don't put yourself down, English is my first (actually only) language and I too have to look stuff up, especially the youngsters slang. I'm also quite sarcastic and learning that doesn't travel too wel.
