What is more likely to freeze is the zoom on the camera, if you get any moisture on the lens barrel.
Also, a potentially bigger problem is condensation when you bring your cold camera back inside to a warm atmosphere - best way to avoid this is to put your camera into a ziploc type bag when you are still outside, and seal it shut when you bring it back inside and leave it there for an hour or so to warm up. |
