'Cause it's semi-worthless. I Googled the lens used, found a couple of 'em for less than $400, refurbs for less than $600, and a new one isn't even $900 any more.
I paid over $1000 when I bought this one a number of years ago.
Here's the issue: 
This switch is busted. I don't know how much it would costs to fix, but I'm quite sure it won't be $50.
I don't use this lens any more.....didn't much before the switch broke.
It still works!
So...... I'd like someone to have it that would use it. I'm not going to try to trade it in 'cause I'm sure like this it's worthless. It will make me feel at least a little good if I knew someone would use it.
All I want out of it is for whomever wants the thing to pay for shipping.
