Not unhappy with my entry, but wonder if one of the outtakes could have scored higher

Not sure if it would have scored higher, but I think this one looks more "obviously" like a clip from a noir film because of the (implied) action.

ETA: If I was editing it I'd try adding a graduated tone curve to the window area to make it look like it was night with a streetlamp shining into the room (probably from the upper-left).

@ GeorgesBogaert Lighting the cigarette and some smoke would have been even better. For both versions. I gave it a 7. I like the entry most

I wanted to create a smoky place but the smoke detectors in my office would start ringing and in no time activating water sprinklers.
Peter (our teacher) is actually a real smoker.
I used 3 cellphone light sources in an absolutely dark room to create the shadows on the face and wall. I made (1 hour work) an old looking radio as background filler
