I just became a member tonight. I did not know I was going to be able to become a member this month so I didn’t go out shooting for the October free study. But since I’m a member I decided to enter. I know I may win the brown because I have a lot to learn here but I could not pass up the opportunity to be in two challenges at once. I just hope it don’t make the record of being the lowest scoring free study picture.

I don't think it's right to ask people to pull their entries, or to discourage them from entering in any way. If they paid their membership fee they have a right to enter and hopefully learn from the experience.

On the other hand, if you are in the top 100, you will be doing close to or better than 80% percentile, which I think is pretty good!
I just finished voting (I've been at it for hours) and started commenting... I am blown away by some of these photos-- there were four portraits that just stuck out to me, and I'm not really into portraiture, but man... I'm inspired. I got a little tired of the autumn leaves and the barns and the foggy mornings, but all in all, a good batch of great photos. Lots of new faves for me! GREAT WORK, EVERYONE!
