I gave you a 7 which was one of my highest scores. Don't know how I'd have gone on the outtake. My "quarrel" was that the beak and area around the eye are orange, not yellow. I thought that over-powered the tiny bit of yellow in the eye itself.
But then, this was a challenge I didn't really "get", neither when I shot and edited for it (and I went to a lot of trouble to do so) nor when I voted on others. I actually expected way more black and white with just a splash of yellow as that was how I understood the challenge. I also did not expect so many that had no yellow at all. And now that I see the results, I'm no clearer on it.
Terrific bird shots, SaraR, and I much prefer the gull to the outtake, but suspect the outtake might have done slightly better as the beak is yellow on my monitor.
