As a long-time member here, I've been too busy (with life) to enter challenges for quite a while. Back then, there was a "Basic" ruleset. Now—I believe—it is called "Standard".
Anyway, are subtle vignettes allowed in Standard challenges?
Yes, the latest rules are a lot more flexible under the "Standard" rules. Note that there is now a set of "Common Rules" which always apply, and then three specialized sets which provide additional various constraints on editing.
"Standard" is the old "Advanced" but it is more liberal. "Basic" no longer exists, it has been replaced by "Minimal", which allows zero editing. The old "Expert" is now "Extended". And, welcome back!
