Does anyone know of any cheap (or free) software that will do the following?
Let's say I have a directory with 20 images in it. I would like some software that would go into that directory, create small thumbnails of each image, create a web page that displays all these thumbnails, and each thumbnail is linked to a web page that displays that image at full res. It would be nice if you could select the background, titles, etc. on the pages too.
Does such a thing exist cheaply? Freely? Thanks for any info or links!
BreezeBrowser (a great little RAW converter for Canon files, thumbnail viewer, organiser etc) does this, with a whole lot of good templates and also very customisable.

There's also another package to consider, which is really cool, but I hesitate to recommend them because I don't like their software policies.

What's cool about it is that unlike most packages, this one's basic metaphor is the collage. You can generate a collage for the web, where the individual pics can be clicked, or you can even generate one for email.
What I don't like is that the software always tries to phone home (strike one by itself). If you move the software to a new machine, which I have done, when it phones home, you get a nasty antipiracy note from them (strike two). And they always include their name and a link to their site in anything you generate. I complained vigorously about this to them, and they did reduce it in size and stature in a subsequent patch, but not get rid of it. And in the new version, there's a "pro" version which you pay extra for, that minimizes this (strike three).
So I never upgraded. But on the plus side, I've never seen anything do this so well.
Only downfall is if you edit the .html page with your own text afterwards, it wipes it out if you update the page with more photos or another page in the same .html tree
