I am back, kenya is phenomenal! It is a country of a million shots! (Some of mine to follow, thank you for all of you who voted me in 3rd place on the wildlife challenge too).
I liked kenya so much I am going to organize one (or more) return trips. I found a great company there who was very accomodating to photographers (positioning vehicles, waiting for behavior ect.)
I am going to look at arranging something for july and maybe october. (it would be 14 days in that time frame)
If anyone is interested let me know.
I will probably bump this a few times over the next while.
A few highlights were : lions mating, cheetah kills, lion kills, leopards, birds, hippos, wildebeast migration, the Maasai villages and the kenyan people.
well here's a few shots, unfortunately I am saving my really great shots for contests that I might actually win stuff or money -lol but here are a few, pretty much out of camera

I am having a terrible time with editing my shots. can someone help with this very badly exposed background, I am sure there is a simple way to replace a the white with say a nice blue but I can not figure it out.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Also a PS question, can anyone tell me why when I save shots for web in PS they keep turning MUCH whiter and brighter when they get uploaded?
Love the elephants and the lady. I looked at them the other day, but wandered off and didn't comment. Hope you win lots of money with them. You can maybe pay for your trip back to take some more!

I did a quick edit on the cat. I don't know how other people feel about photo integrity, but I did leave the instructions on the picture. I'm pretty sure you have the ability to do the same thing in ps. Or use it to get your own idea. It was a five minute edit.

Kenya is indeed very photogenic isn't it? Landscapes, animals and people all marvellous subjects and a pleasure to shoot.
I wish I could go back next year but after the extensive safaris this year I don't think I'm allowed to plan any Africa holidays for a good couple of years! :o(

I stayed at one place at the end called 'giraffe manor' the giraffe's walk on the lawn and in the yard, stick there heads in the windows and doors. You can feed them, they kiss you. It was very magical. I think it is a most spectacular place, they are dedicated to rescuing and preserving the rothschild giraffe, only around 300 left in the world. I will tell more later as I work on shots.
We went to amboseli and then flew to shaba, and then drove to lakes navasha and nakuru and then finished up with 5 or 6 days in maasai mara. It was all so fabulous, my favorite 3 places were amboseli, mara and shaba those are the places I will return to and I also want to go to mombasa next trip. I did keep a journal : )
