I used the email link in your profile to email you a test message. Let me know if you get it. Also, double check in your prefrences that the "send me notification" button is checked.
No the email did not get through, but I think I have solved the problem. The junk mail filter was on, so it was blocking stuff from @dpchallenge addresses. It should probably work now.
