Hey everybody.....It has been a while since I have been on DPC. Life kind of got in the way....I recently have had a huge switch.... After a fairly long layoff I finally got a job working as an autocad drafter for the VA in Pittsburgh... From Louisiana to Pittsburgh, just in time for winter.YAY Anyway I hope be entering some challenges in the near future and voting and making comments....
Now because I am new to Pittsburgh Penn, are there any active DPC'ers in the area...If so hit me up.
Welcome back -- Pittsburgh is a lot different than the old "mill town" these days, and I heard that Alcoa is moving its HQ back there from NYC, but for its high-tech environment, not its factory infrastructure.
Wow! Glad to have you back Adam! Also Matt and Katie, make sure you check out the rulesets...though Minimal has pretty much stayed the same, as has Expert err, Extended....there are some changes to Standard, which used to be Advanced. Hope you all stay around!

A little more about the updated rules: There are some "Common Rules" which will apply no matter what the challenge; the specific rule-sets are in addition to those. The Standard (nee Advanced) rules now allow a lot more, including stitched panoramas, focus-stacking, etc., and you can clone out distractions as long as you replace it with what would have shown had the removed object not been there when you took the shot -- there is no particular restriction on the size anymore.
There has been some confusion about the use of adjustments and adjustment layers and so on, because they are not mentioned -- you can pretty much use any adjustments, filters, etc. that you want -- the voters will judge whether it was a good idea ...
