I've never posted to the Rant forum before, but I've seen the word "lens" spelled "lense" one too many times over the past week or two, and it's driving me nuts! Is this possibly the correct spelling in another culture? I hope that's the case because, honestly, it's one of easiest words in the English language to spell correctly.

BTW: the adjective form is lenticular -- the word lens is related to lentil, the popular legume. It's easier to say than "lens-like" or "lens-shaped."

Funny, I was annoyed about this lately too!

Update: The artist will correct the errors but will be paid $6,000 to correct them.
Wow, now that's interesting... she doesn't see anything wrong with the incorrect names, even though her mural's on a library! Something's a little off with that...
If you're going to be pissy don't bother sending PMs. My point was this comes up often and I, personally, am surprised at the frequency. If you feel foolish because of it, that's your issue, not mine.
