Yeah, here in Taiwan, abacuses are (still) extremely popular. Most elementary school kids are good at using those.

well of course herfotoperson is too young to need that sort of abacus. nonetheless we mourn the loss of the ribbon but continue to celebrate a most 10-worthy shot.
I do have this old adding machine that may be able to count up to 7, although it only has buttons from 1-5 in each row, and is calibrated for the pound system, not metric.
