I just found out, like last year, I'm a finalist in this past years Backroads (travel) photo contest. There are 30 finalists, and like last year, I have two of the! Out of 10000 submissions!
Last year, DPCers helped propel me to the top! I was second place, and won a $2000 credit towards my next backroads trip. We went to the Canadian Rockies, on a multisport trip, bike, hike, raft.
What a beautiful place!
Please help me do it again!!!!!! Maybe even first place! (That's a $3000 credit!)
My two photos are the third row from the bottom in the finalist list, since it's alphabetical. Damn "S" in Shapiro!
Once again, I had to pick which one to vote for.
I like both photos of course, but DPCers gave the Athabasca Glacier one a yellow ribbon, so I we're going to go with that one! (It was on DPC titled, "Land of the Giants")

I see these guys do a cycle tour of the South Island of New Zealand. I traveled their route last year & found myself stopping every 500 meters or so to take more photos
