Such a heavy heart....tomorrow we will have to say good-bye to our faithful and loyal friend ~ Tuff Storm "Rider".
He has been all over with us, Carolinas, Virginia, Mississippi, Tennessee and of course Florida.
He has camped, hiked, swam, rode in canoes, posed for pictures and loved our family unconditionally.
He can no longer walk (more like stagger) or move about. All muscle control is gone in his lower body. This has come on swiftly. He has a disease that attacks his connective tissue. I'm just glad he's not in pain.
So sorry Janine; this breaks my heart too as it is so close to home for us with our dear Lucy. We have had several labs over the years and, like everyone's pet, they become a part of your family and you love them just as much. Big hugs to you and your family from ours.
Ja-9, my thoughts are with you tonight and tomorrow and onward.
Dang, it's difficult. You made a life for your lovely dog,
as your dog helped you make your own life more fulfilled.
Bear, I was also sad to hear of Karma's demise. Now that was a
dog with a checkered career. One we all appreciated over the years.
Our companions do have shorter life-spans and this is a moment
we come to, eventually.
Never easy. I know you will remember the joy. It may ease the pain.
Janine, I am so sorry that you are facing this. It is such a hard fact of life that we only have our pets for a short time. Hugs (((to you and your family))).
Very sorry to hear this, Janine. Best to let him go even though it breaks your heart. (((hugs)) from me and healing energy from Lily, Galena and Druli in spirit
My yellow lab Meadow sends her best wishes for Rider--she'll see him on the other side. She has trouble with her legs...she's almost 15 and she doesn't have long. A time I don't look forward to, so I can really feel your pain.
