manyunk is a great place to go; it's about 10 miles out from center city, but has some of the best shops and restaurants in town. stop in the u.s. hotel restaurant for a bowl of crab-corn chowder and a pint of bass, then take a walk up and down mainstreet. ton of photo ops.
