16 lenses with 10 active at any time. It's an extremely interesting product and I'm very intrigued by the possibilities, but there are a ton of unanswered questions.
52 megapixels? Sure, but given that you're capturing 10 lenses worth of data simultaneously, are they spread around and then reassembled? In other words, if I'm combining 3 images of 16MP's in an HDR composite, do I technically have 48MP's of image information?
It's a steep buy at $1699 and without knowing more or having a pile of cash burning a hole in my pocket I'd be hard pressed to lay down the $199 to get one at the $1299 introductory price 10 months from now. Not to say I wouldn't love to have one to play with. |
