I was just composing a scathing indictment of Paul AND Robert (and a few others, too), none of whom I know well enough to interpret properly, but I tend to "vent" first and learn later, like many others on DPC.
I doubt that Paul had any intention of offending anyone with his OP, but was disappointed that he didn't simply say early on that he was sorry to have misspoken, rather than back-peddling to say it was "deliberately intended to be provocative".
But, hey...small quibble after reading his lovely and heartfelt response to Julie. My good mood is restored, so thank you, Paul.

Well, I guess so, but I was genuinely curious what I'd done that motivated such a reaction in the first place.
I'm guessing it was when you said that the OP's "deliberately provocative" phrase was no big deal ... I think a lot of people interpret "deliberately provocative" to be essentially the same as "baiting" -- something against the forum rules, especially in a non-Rant thread ...

Pay attention, Ray. The unmentionables have already been mentioned. Seems everyone got the memo but you.
I am certain that Robert is quite capable of answering questions that are directed at him and needs no intervention from you. I happen to know Robert quite well and for all you know, the "unmentionables" I was alluding to dealt with culinary issues.
Thanks for once again making a quantum leap about exactly what others are thinking or suggesting.
