I was at work today with my new assistant and knowing she is an amateur photographer still shooting mostly with film, I didn't hesitate one second to show her DPC!
I gave her a guided tour of the main features, showed her my favs and some of my stuff and as I was doing that, I was all excited and I felt a great deal of pride to be part of this wonderful community of passionate photogs!
I'm celebrating my 2 years on DPC in a few days and it's still, by far, my most frequently visited website. I learn so much here it's not even funny. This site gives me DRIVE!
The admins are AWSOME and the culture here is very supportive. Amongst all the crap in this world, DPC is one small ray of goodness. It's optimistic and uplifting and that's due to all the wonderfull members and their generosity.
I'm not much of an internet chatter. I'm more of a reader (or listener) than a writer. That's why I'm keeping this short and sweet. :-)
