On a recent trip to the Maritime Provinces with my new D70, I shot many photos using Auto and Landscape program modes. The conditions included bright sun and water. Most photos were overexposes by 1 or 2 f-stops. A Nikon tech said my lens was faulty (it isn't). A few people said that under bright conditions, the program modes will overexpose using the default matrix metering. They suggested using spot metering with the P, S, A or M modes. Shots using Portrait and flower modes were fine. Any suggestions? |
