Your entry and this one both evoked emotion. When I saw this one I felt happy and may have given a different vote. Emotions are so subjective there is no way for me to tell how I would have reacted because my comments are only based on how I am feeling now, and not then.
What I found interesting is that your serious girl shot was lit from the side with the face in even shade and the happy boy shot was with him looking into the light. Both good choices for the emotion shown! Both are enjoyable shots!
