We really need a way to notify people when we tag them in our comments. Similar to how it works on Facebook. For instance if I comment on a forum post or comment on an image and tag the memeber vawendy she should get a notification via email that she was mentioned in a post or a comment.
I just went through my comments and realized I had missed about 10 for a side challenge I had done in January. Now 2 months later there is really no way to answer those comments because if I answer them back on my photo there is no way for them to know that I did. I doubt at this point they will go back and check. I realize I could just PM them but that still leaves the comment unanswered on my photo. So it will appear that I never answered the question.
I realize the fact that I never saw the comments is my fault. I had that box unchecked in my preferences. I have it fixed now and when I get a comment on an image I will receive an email. So that will help. But it still doesn't help when someone responds to a comment on their own image. For instance if I was to comment on vawendy's photo and then she had a counter question to my comment I might never see that comment unless I thought to check back. But if she tagged me and that tag sent a notification to my email I would know to respond to her comment.
Is the get satisfaction page still operational? Do people still use it? This is something I would really like to see changed. I know others would too since I remember someone I think it was Wendy started a thread on it awhile ago. I am horrible at finding old threads though.

There are threads which have 168 pages or more and as a newbie I wonder how somebody might find out that he or she is mentioned (f.e. Top Challenge picks that failed to make the Top 20)

exactly unless you are checking every thread every hour you would never know. Sometimes threads get buried so quickly. Case in point this morning Mike buried mine in just a few minutes with his challenge suggestions.
Also a week or so ago I mention oboy in a comment. Luckily he checks in on the stock threads so he saw it. Otherwise he would have never known I mentioned him in my post.
Of course as Mike and others mentioned changes to the site are very rare. I just wish the "get satisfaction" page worked the way it was intended to. Now we can't post to the site suggestions section of the forums and the "get satifaction" site is no longer working as intended. So where do we go to get things changed?

Mine would look like this:

I guess I should set that up myself.
You could just as easily omit the inurl:forum.php part to give you results from the entire site - or could could change it to image.php for image comments with your name on it.
