I did a few different ideas for the Backlighting Challenge in September 2004. I really liked my outtakes even though they didn't quite fit into what I thought was backlighting. I was able to enter the prints in a local amateur photography show, the New Iberia Sugar Cane Festival (our version of a state fair).
I placed third in Animals with this one
and won Sweepstakes in People with .
I was so excited to see the rosette ribbon on the image of my son looking into the fishbowl. You can imagine his surprise when he found out 'his' picture won as well.
