I have been a car JUNKIE my whole life.......been around new cars, old cars, luxury cars, sports cars, muscle cars, sedans, coupes, convertibles, and all of the variants and a fair amount of exposure to the racing variants of all of them.
I have ownedf, rezxtored, built, and modified casr from all over the planet in front drive, rear drive, and four wheel drive with every imaginable engine configuration.
I was exposed to the technical marvels as they emerged everywhere else on the planet years before Detroit was dragged kicking and screaming into the world of advanced automotive design.
I have always been fortunate to be connecteed to many styles, techniques, and philosophies as they pertained to everything from the quietest, safest, most luxurious sedans, to all out steroid-popping racecars.
I have no allegience to any brand......I am a car SLUT, I love them all.
Never in my life have I seen anything like this thing.......I WANT IT!!!!

My gawd, that's obscene :-) If I weren't losing my reflexes to old age I'd want one too. But how the HECK were they able to shut down a FREEWAY for the filming? That's just...eerie...
Okay, I apologize in advance for this post. I am 57 years old and after watching those videos I think I crapped my pants 57 times while at the same time remembering what it was like being 19 and doing drag trials and just wishing. Holy sh@* that is some amazing control. Wow! I know, 'anyone can drive', especially their own custom vehicle. But like Bear said, that is 'obscene'!
Bear: Money shuts down freeways. Pay for the permits and pick the right timing and use enough under-construction/repair roads as well as HIV lanes not currently in use and in California you can get just what he got. But the patrol cars are fake. At least they look it. Makes you wonder. Is this a spoof?

Steve McQueen! That is the first thing I thought of. The famous chase scene. Bullitt - now that was a real Mustang being driven.
I like a bit of comfort as I get from point A to point B. Not a whole lot of comfort is necessary.
But... that's it. That's the draw for me from cars.

Then one would wonder why you bothered to look at this thread at all. It's obviously titled in such a manner that it cartainly wouldn't be of much interest to photographers, or anyone not into cars.
Oh......and as to the guys thing, that's annoying.....my girlfriend, ex-wife, and daughter are all into cars. I did NOT meet either the GF or ex- in any manner that had to do with cars.
Oh......my ex-wife sent me the vid. She got it from her car club.
But it's just like anything else......interests and tastes vary. With me, it wasn't just a hobby......it was my life for almost forty years.
Now, horses......They serve no purpose at all any more other than to ravage your time and money.
