Basically, it's a cheap monitor connected to a cheap computer (~ $35 for a Raspberry Pi) that plays a slideshow.
I guess with some savvy marketing you can create a business out of it, but it isn't exactly a fantastic piece of technology or anything. I am sure many people would like to have it in a neat little bundle which you can plug and play, but for the most part you could DIY this yourself for a few years now. I can't imagine that there would be a big market for people to pay for content though, when you can access so much on the internet for free. |
