Don't know a thing about this but I sure like the sound of "wrinkle free". I read so much about problems with wrinkles and having to iron backdrops. Ugh!
Some time ago a couple of DPCers started a business selling backdrops and (I think) other photo-shoot accessories. There should be a link to their website someplace in the forums ...
Just as an alternative to that. I have a couple backdrops that I got from a discount home fabrics store. They look similar to the first link you showed us. It came in 60 inch wide (so 5"x however long you want to get it). It was only $8 a yard so I could get one similar to the one shown in the picture 5x7 size for around $20. They don't wrinkle and I just keep them on the rolls they came on...just a thought... I wouldn't mind having one of those larger muslin ones. But I wouldn't spend that kind of money on the first smaller one you showed... I think you could get something just as good at a fabric store for cheaper.

I've looked at the fabric store before. I have a suede cloth that I particularly like, but the 5' seems really narrow if you're trying to do a group picture. That's why I was thinking it would be good to have 1 large backdrop on hand. (I actually have one large black on, and one seamless white paper roll, but most people don't seem to want a white or black backdrop. They want something a little less intrusive, yet the plain colors are really dull, imo.
If you can get the backdrop really white or black, you can probably change its color/pattern later in post without affecting the people (similar to "green-screen" or "blue-screen" effect).

I'm so lousy at that, if the person has any hair at all. If they're bald, I can easily handle that, but selecting hair still has me pulling my own out.
Hmmm -- soon I can do it with self portraits, then! ;)
A small tablet/stylus combo helps a LOT with masking. Or you can invest in one of the masking plug-ins.
It's a good skill to work on, and you'll never get better at it if you don't try ... maybe take a self-portrait (while you have hair left) and practice. :-)
