Lexmark makes cheap printers. I would advise Epson or HP even at the same price...
The cost of a printer is all in the replacement cartriges.
Printer costs 100 zorkmids, refill costs 25 zorkmids. Many printers ship with almost empty cartriges. You do the maths.
Ive got a Z52, and its OK, but Im not blown away by it. If I want a pic for framing, I'll pop down the photo shop and get an A4 print for 5 zorkmids. So I'd get the free one.
We have a lexmark z65 here and the only thing i see wrong with it is it EATS ink and the cartridges are expensive. It produces images with more resolution than my camera can even handle... and my camera makes 5.2MP images (approx.)
I wouldn't recommend epson necessarily.. if you look at the resolution of the prints it's always some number X 720. that's not great. I'd like to see them make a printer that keeps up to the resolution the z65 can withstand.
Just to tell I just got a Epson820s for 99$ (you can get it around 90$ with coupons) and I like it A LOT. Color replacement cartridge are 9$ mail order. And I am VERY happy with the 720dpi 3 people at my office bought it as well when they saw tmy printings. Lionel
