To me, the challenge is propaganda poster so it requires quite a bit to be considered a poster. My entry is very text-heavy but everything graphics-related I added was used through the layer mode options, except the 'border' which was a black fill and I copied and pasted the photo onto it to allow the text to be readable and not cover the photo. I used a gradient over the background 'border' but the rule I was reading about applying editing tools to all or part of the photo seems to OK that.
I wouldn't be terribly surprised if mine gets DQ'd if the council has a different interpretation, but the way I interpret the word 'poster' is to imply the purpose is primarily to convey a message taking advantage of the text being allowed. |
